Orhan Cemal, journalist
Born on 11 Nov 1966 in a family of Islamic public figure, a former Chairman of the Islamic Committee of Russia Heydar Jemal. Since 1995 worked in the newspaper “Evening Moscow”, “Evening courier”, “Nezavisimaya Gazeta”, “Novaya Gazeta”, “Version” (the last two he headed the policy division), was a columnist of the magazine “Russian Newsweek”, has collaborated with several other magazines and online publications. Worked in the North Caucasus, South Ossetia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Saudi Arabia. In 2000 he was one of the founders of the Union of religious journalists, and in 2003 — one of the founders of the Muslim Union of journalists of Russia. In 2005, he became the founder and Executive Director of the Agency of journalistic investigations “Investigative Committee” at the Union of journalists of Russia. In 2005 he became a finalist for the award named after Artem Borovik. The author of the book “Chronicles the five-day war” (2008) about the Russian-Georgian-Ossetian military conflict.
Alexander Rastorguev, Director and documentary filmmaker
Born in 1971 in Rostov-on-don. He studied at the philological faculty of the Rostov state University. In 1999 he graduated from the State Academy of theatrical arts in St. Petersburg (1998). He worked as a Director of the STRC “don-TR”. For the filming of the movie “Maundy Thursday” creative team of the film was dismissed by the user “don-TR”. Worked in the St. Petersburg edition of the TV channel NTV. In 2001 he founded the Studio “Cinema”.
