In the state Duma want to require outlets to sell water for 15 rubles per bottle
MOSCOW, 18 Jul — RIA Novosti. State Duma Deputy from LDPR Vasily Vlasov was offered the Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova to oblige the outlets to sell drinking water at a state fixed price of 15 rubles per half-liter bottle.
The MP is also working on a bill to ensure Russian citizens affordable quality drinking water. He said this in the letter Golikova, which is available to RIA Novosti.
“The heart of the upcoming bill is to secure the obligation of commercial facilities for the mandatory presence of a range of bottled drinking water at a fixed state price Asking you to evaluate this initiative and to consider its implementation”, — the document says.
The MP also criticized the methods in wastewater treatment plants in many cities, which, according to him, is not allowed to speak about water safety “for use without additional purification measures used by citizens at the household level.”
The Deputy reminded that the world is more acute the problem of provision of population with clean drinking water: according to the UN, nearly 900 million people do not have access to it. While in Russia access to quality drinking water is missing for every tenth, leads the Vlasov data of Rosstat.
According to him, the proposed idea is already implemented in some countries, such as Turkey, where a half-liter bottle of water costs (converted) about 15 rubles.
