Scientists still can’t explain what’s going on here.
On our planet there are many places where there are unexplained phenomena. One of them can be attributed to the Jatinga valley (“Valley of the falling birds”), which is located in India, in the North-Eastern state of Assam in the mountains of North cachar.
This depression (sizes 2 to 10 km) there is a small old village. It is in this area in the late summer of inexplicable events. In the second half of August the new moon in the valley of the wind starts to blow, and the residents and guests of the village, bonfires were lit, which are flock birds.
Just some low circling over the fire, and some fall to the ground, as if under hypnosis.
They few days do not eat, do not drink, do not react to people but with time everything passes and they can fly.
Why is this happening, scientists still do not know, and serious scientific studies are not conducted. Indian scientists found that the birds completely ignored the artificial light sources, and did not show any deviation from the behavior when there is no wind or moonlight.
At the moment the main version is the presence in the area of short-term geomagnetic anomalies caused by a combination of all the factors together (belonie, wind, dark and fire).
But local has its explanation: according to legend, these birds send people to the gods for a righteous life. Previously, the villagers collected the fallen birds and ate. Now this tradition is no more. The authorities and environmentalists, and asking tourists not to touch the birds — for this throughout the hung a special plate collection.
