Russia sent to Iraq the first batch of T-90 tanks
BAGHDAD, 17 Feb — RIA Novosti. The first batch of 10 Russian T-90 tanks were shipped to Iraq from the territory of the Russian Federation will arrive to the Arab country in the near future, told RIA Novosti the head of the local defense Committee in Parliament, Hakim al-Zamili.

According to the Deputy, the delivery of Russian tanks will lead to “strategic change in the military infrastructure of Iraq, because they have modern technology and aimed at combating terrorism.”
He noted the support of the Russian Federation in the framework of arms contracts and a long history of military-technical cooperation between the two countries. The MP said that Iraq before the change of government in 2003 was mainly relying on Russian arms.
