Body downed in Syria, pilot taken to Russia
Moscow. 6 Feb. INTERFAX.RU — the Body of Russian pilot major Roman Filipov returned to their homeland, said Tuesday the defense Ministry of the Russian Federation.

“Russian military intelligence in cooperation with their Turkish colleagues the dead body of a hero February 3 in Syria, pilot of attack aircraft major Roman Filipov returned to the Russian Federation”, — said in the defense Ministry of the Russian Federation.
As reported, on February 3, the militants shot down by a portable air defense missile system (MANPADS) in the sky area of de-escalation “Idlib” the Russian su-25. Pilot Filipov ejected on the earth has entered unequal fight with organic weapons with terrorists, and then, being seriously wounded, he blew himself up with a grenade.

Filipov presented posthumously the title of Hero of the Russian Federation. He is survived by his wife and four year old daughter.
