January 10, 2013 were adopted by the Russia’s Intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) sea-based missile R-30 “Bulava” (NATO — SS-NX-30). Accurate tactical and technical characteristics of the missile never officially published. According to open sources, ICBM is a three-stage solid-fuel missile, capable of carrying from one to ten warheads of individual guidance with the ability to maneuver in the yaw and pitch. Total throw — weight of 1150 kg.
“Bulava” armed with a rocket underwater cruiser of strategic purpose (SSBNs) of the project 09550, 09551 09552 and “Northwind” and “Borey-M”. Each submarine can carry up to 16 of these missiles.
