MOSCOW, 27 Jun — RIA Novosti. MNRE has approved a new edition of the red book, which contains lists of rare and endangered animals, said RIA Novosti Deputy Director of the Department of state policy and regulation in the sphere of environment Ministry of natural resources Igor Davydov.
“At the end of the Year of ecology and the Year of specially protected natural territories Minister of natural resources and environment Sergei Donskoy signed an order approving the lists of objects of fauna listed in the Red book of the Russian Federation and excluded from the red book of the Russian Federation”, — said Davydov.
As noted in the environmental Department, the lists are c “endangered animals” have not been reprinted since 1998.
Thus, according to the procedure red book, updating the list of rare species should be done once a decade. At the same time, a single change in individual species to the lists of the red book were made three times since their adoption.
