Scientists have built a climate model of the world of “Game of Thrones”

Scientists have found a scientific explanation to the peculiarities of climate in the world of the HBO series “Game of thrones” with the help of computer models. Uneven and long winters in Westeros, they tied with the shape of the planet and the inclination of the axis of its rotation around the sun.

Climatologists have suggested that the planet from “Game of thrones” has, in contrast to the Land, not ellipsoidal, and spherical shape and located under an angle such that one hemisphere is always closer to the Sun.

The fact that the winter and summer seasons in Westeros can last for decades and come at different times, the scientists explained-permanent inclination of the axis of rotation of the planet around the Sun.
