To the Earth will approach a potentially hazardous asteroid 3200 Phaethon. It is reported by the National Directorate of the USA on Aeronautics and space research (NASA).
At a minimum to planet distance (10 040 312 kilometers) celestial body will approach 17 December 2017 at 02:00 Moscow time.

Potentially dangerous astronomical objects include celestial bodies with a diameter of more than one hundred meters, which cross Earth’s orbit less than 0.05 astronomical units (about 7 479 894 kilometers or 19.5 distances from the earth to the moon).
Diameter 3200 Phaethon is 5.1 km. Belongs to the group of Apollo (their orbits cross the earth on the outer side). The asteroid has an elongated orbit and comes close to the Sun, so it has a number of cometary properties.
