The United States and South Korea began the largest ever joint air force exercise
Exercises are a week after the launch, the DPRK Intercontinental ballistic missile “And 15”.
Moscow. 4 Dec. INTERFAX.RU — Hundreds of aircraft take part in the biggest ever joint exercises US and South Korea that began on 4 December, said on Monday the news Agency Associated Press. The maneuvers were a response of the allies to test an Intercontinental ballistic missile, which a week ago were held by North Korea.
Exercise called Vigilant Ace will go 5 days. It will take part more than 200 aircraft, including six American fighters F-22 and, according to officially confirmed information, supersonic strategic bombers B-1B. The exercise will involve 12 thousand U.S. troops.
Pyongyang earlier called the maneuvers “a comprehensive open provocation against the DPRK, which at any moment can turn into a nuclear war” and “an act accelerating them (USA and South Korea — if) self-destruction.”
