According to the main specialist on the problems of diagnosis and treatment of HIV infection in the region of Elena Fast, the woman knew about her HIV status when she became pregnant, refused to conduct chemoprophylaxis during pregnancy and childbirth. After the birth she refused to give him drugs.
The girl was seized by the decision of the district administration and placed in a children’s hospital. There within the month it will be held on antiretroviral therapy, and then observed in the clinic.
The Federal scientific and methodological center for prevention and control of AIDS predict that by the end of the year in Russia the number of new registered cases of HIV infection will increase by at least 100 thousand. Approximately the same figures were in 2014-2016. The number of deaths of citizens with a positive status only grows.
