Russia accused of attempt of hacking the servers of the democratic party of the United States in November 2018

WASHINGTON, 19 Jan — RIA Novosti, Alexei Bogdanovsky. The democratic party in a lawsuit to the Russian Federation claimed that Russia was trying to hack the servers of the national Committee of the democratic party in November 2018, according to court documents.

In April, the national Committee of the US Democratic party (DNC) has filed a lawsuit against the government of the Russian Federation, Main Department of the Russian General staff (GRU), entrepreneurs, father and son agalarovyh, the founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, and also against the electoral headquarters of Donald trump, including son-in-law of us President Jared Kushner. The action relates to hacker attacks in 2015 and 2016 and assumptions about the conspiracy to damage the Democrats, as well as to promote the candidacy of trump.

On Friday, the Democrats added to the charges assumptions about the burglary in November 2018, when passed the mid-term elections in the U.S. Congress.

“In November 2018, dozens of e-mail addresses DNC was the aim of the campaign “spearfishing” (newsletter with an infected hyperlink — ed), although there is no evidence that this attack was successful. The content of these emails and the time of departure … meet campaign spearfishing which leading experts on cyber security associated with the Russian intelligence service”, — stated in the Addendum to the statement of claim. “Thus, it is likely that Russian intelligence tried to illegally penetrate computers DNC in November of 2018,” reads the lawsuit.

Russia has repeatedly denied accusations of trying to influence the elections in different countries, as the press Secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov called them “completely unfounded”.
