The BBC asked the foreign Ministry to investigate the leak of personal data of their journalists

The BBC has lodged a formal complaint to the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Russia for the publication of personal data of journalists corporations operating in Moscow.

Tuesday, December 25 at sites pikabu.ru and segodnya.ru and in the community “For Mother Russia” in the social network “Vkontakte” was published a list of 44 employees of the Corporation working in Russia. Listed their names and photos.

On the website segodnya.ru the list was posted under the name “Our answer to Chamberlain”. The publication said that recently the Western media published a list of Russian journalists, and to “find and publish a list of journalists who work in Russia and everywhere see a conspiracy, there is no work.” It was about the publication in the Sunday Times, which posted the pictures of eight employees of the British Bureau of Sputnik with the indication of their positions. In turn, the BBC did not publish this list.

BBC emphasizes that the Corporation is an independent media, the basic principle which is impartial and objective coverage of events. “The air force has no influence on either policy of the British government nor the publications of other media,” reads the statement of the Corporation.
