In Armenia, the court arrested the ex-President Kocharian
YEREVAN, 7 Dec — RIA Novosti. The court of appeal of Armenia has arrested ex-President Robert Kocharian, said his lawyer Hayk Alumyan.

In July, the special investigation service filed Kocharian the prosecution to overthrow the constitutional order in the criminal case about the protesters on 1 March 2008. Through the day, Kocharian was arrested for two months.
The defence appealed the arrest of the court of appeal, which overturned the decision of the court of first instance, referring to the immunity of the former President. Fifteenth day of November the court of cassation partially upheld the complaint of public Prosecutor to cancel the arrest, sent the case back for further investigation in the same court.
In 2008, the Armenian opposition led by first President Levon Ter-Petrosyan, who lost the election, Serzh Sargsyan, held in the center of Yerevan rallies, expressing dissatisfaction with the official results of the vote. The protests resulted in riots and clashes with police, ten people were killed, about two hundred were injured.
In addition, the special investigative service indicted the former defense Minister Mikayel Harutyunyan and former Secretary General of the CSTO Yuri Khachaturov, who served in 2008 in the Armenian army. Khachaturov released on bail, Harutyunyan was declared wanted.
