This was announced by the founder of the company Elon Musk and Maezawa on presentation at the head office of SpaceX in Hawthorne, California. The mission is planned for 2023. The rocket with the tourist will fly approximately 200 km from the moon.
The ticket price of Maezawa did not disclose. According to the Mask, we are talking about a “significant amount”, which will help the company in the development of missiles BFR.

The trip will last about a week. In SpaceX added that in history, only 24 people have walked on the moon. The last of them were members of the mission “Apollo 17” in 1972.
In 2016 Elon Musk said that he began to work on the project BFR. And in the beginning of last year, SpaceX announced that it is preparing a commercial flight around the moon.

Previously, Musk has already hinted that a passenger will be from Japan.
The company said that the flight would be an important step to make space travel accessible to all. The mission is counting on a heavy missile-the carrier of BFR, which is not yet built. “No 100 percent certainty that it will be ready for flight,” said Musk.
