The agreement between Erdogan and Putin sounded differently: during a meeting with Erdogan in July in Johannesburg Putin agreed to visit the restaurant with dishes of Russian meat — provided that Turkey will allow meat imports from Russia. Shortly after that conversation, Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Gordeyev announced the beginning of deliveries of Russian beef to Turkey. Before the Russian meat shipped to Turkey for two years, the Turkish authorities imposed an embargo in response to the Russian.
Putin on the invitation of Erdogan in the presence of the press did not answer. Press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov to the questions of “Vedomosti” about the accuracy of translation of words Cavusoglu, and Putin’s reaction to the invitation is not answered.
The Turkish delegation, which also included Cavusoglu, the Minister of defence of Turkey and head of the National intelligence organization of Turkey, Hulusi ACAR and Hakan Fidan, arrived in Russia on Friday. According to Cavusoglu, each of the members of the Turkish delegation met with his Russian counterpart, discussed “regional issues all the issues of cooperation and passing our message across”.
