The EP has proposed to abolish the pension benefits for deputies
MOSCOW, 20 Aug — RIA Novosti. United Russia proposed to cancel all preferences for pension payments for members of the Federation Council and deputies of the State Duma, said Deputy Secretary of the party’s General Council Olga batalina at a joint meeting with the Council of leaders of factions of the party.
“Charge of the faction “United Russia” in the State Duma to provide a submission to the State Duma and the adoption of the draft Federal law on introducing amendments to the Federal law on status of member of the Council of Federation and status of Deputy of the State Duma providing for abolition of the pension preferences of the members of the Federation Council and deputies of the State Duma”, — she voiced the draft resolution.
The General Council supported the initiative.
The pension of the Deputy
In July, the state Duma published data on the salary of deputies and the surcharges they receive for retirement. The basis of calculation is the concept of “monetary remuneration”, which formed a Supplement to the pensions of parliamentarians. In 2018 the amount of “reward” is 84 774 rubles. Members receive a percentage of this amount depending on seniority.
So, worked from five to ten years parliamentarians are entitled to additional payment in the amount of 55% of earnings or not less than 46 thousand rubles. In turn, members with experience more than ten years can expect a surcharge of 75% is not less than 63 thousand rubles. MPs who have worked in the lower house less than five years, a pension Supplement do not receive.
