The smallest island with a building (so officially recorded in the Guinness Book of records) is 6.4 km on West from the Isles of Scilly in British Cornwall. It is a rock with the lighthouse.
Rock Bishop really tiny, with just 46 meters long and 16 meters wide.
The construction of the lighthouse on the island began in 1847, but the first structure was washed away by the waves. The 49-metre lighthouse, which stands today, was built in 1858. Since 1992 the lighthouse is automated, and on top of it and made a landing pad for helicopters.
