In the Russian Embassy told TASS that two dead worked in “news”, but did not specify whether they were citizens of Russia. According to a source in the representation, the victims found no documents other than the press cards. Also there is no information about the third killed. The bodies of the dead were taken to the hospital, and “precise personalities” will give the morning of 1 August.
Official representative of Russian foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said to “Interfax” that the Russian Embassy was cooperating with local authorities to clarify the circumstances of the incident. According to the source Agency, the Russians were able to kill the robbers.
The press service of “News” has denied that the magazine’s staff worked in the Central African Republic. “All the editorial staff work in standard mode, no information about any emergencies with our journalists we have,” — said the press service.
