The work book will remain paper until 2027
The transition period for the introduction of electronic work books will end January 1, 2027. Prior to this, the employers will maintain employee records in paper form. This was announced on 27 July the Ministry of labor and social protection.
“We have provided a smooth transition for the introduction of electronic work books: for employers is that the obligation of maintaining and storing paper work record before January 1, 2027. After this date, the employer did not keep the paper work book”, — said Deputy Minister Lyubov eltcova. Her words leads TASS.
The Ministry explained that the electronic work book will be a database of labor activity of Russian. To do this, employers will provide information to the Pension Fund of Russia.
The representative of the Ministry also added that the paper and electronic employment history have equal legal force.
The bill of electronic employment record books will be submitted to the State Duma in 2019.
In July, the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has approved the introduction of electronic work books.
