GENEVA, 28 Jul — RIA Novosti, “Now throughout Europe, especially in the Northern part, on the territory of Russia and in Northern Siberia observed intense heat and heat waves. The predictions of our centers in Germany, the UK and Russia suggests that this week the heat will definitely continue, and next week, too,” she said.
According to her, currently in the Northern hemisphere due to a hung anticyclone blocked Jet Stream (strong winds in the upper troposphere — ed.) which usually do not let the hot air from the tropics into middle latitudes.
