Antelope canyon is a unique masterpiece of nature. Red sand cliffs for many centuries grind out wind and water. Every few years during heavy rains the canyon is flooded with water, which, flowing down, carries away the grains of sand and forms a raised line inside the rocks.

The name of the canyon was obtained through the orange-red sand which resembles the skin of an antelope.

The best time to visit this place is spring and autumn, and the scenic photos are in the middle of the day when the sun is at the Zenith and penetrates almost all corners of the canyon.
