CAIRO, July 13 — RIA Novosti. The cause of the explosion of a tank of fuel in the vicinity of Cairo airport was the intense heat, the official representative of the army of Egypt tamer Rifai.
“As a result of increasing air temperature, an explosion occurred on one of the tanks petrochemical company “Heliopolis”, — reads the statement of the representative of the army to the media.
Earlier, the Ministry of civil aviation of Egypt confirmed that the explosion in Cairo has occurred outside the airport and did not affect his work. It is reported that as a result of explosion the fire has been extinguished.
