Trump year extended sanctions against the DPRK
WASHINGTON, 22 Jun, RIA Novosti, Alexei Bogdanovsky. The President of the United States Donald trump extends sanctions against DPRK for another year, the White house said.
Sanctions imposed by a number of Executive decrees from 2008, 2010, 2011, 2015, 2016 and 2017. They are directed against nuclear and missile programs of the DPRK, and a number of other alleged violations by Pyongyang, including money laundering, cyber attacks, violations of human rights.
Trump did not rule out a lifting of sanctions if the DPRK will abandon nuclear weapons, but official U.S. policy is that the sanctions will begin to collapse only after the “complete, verifiable and irreversible” denuclearization.
