Sanctions imposed by a number of Executive decrees from 2008, 2010, 2011, 2015, 2016 and 2017. They are directed against nuclear and missile programs of the DPRK, and a number of other alleged violations by Pyongyang, including money laundering, cyber attacks, violations of human rights.
Trump did not rule out a lifting of sanctions if the DPRK will abandon nuclear weapons, but official U.S. policy is that the sanctions will begin to collapse only after the “complete, verifiable and irreversible” denuclearization.
