The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from Transnistria

The UN General Assembly by a simple majority adopted the draft resolution calling for an immediate and complete withdrawal from Transnistria Russian military, members of peacekeeping forces.

Voted for the document 64 countries, 15 were against, 83 abstained. About it reports TASS.

The draft resolution expresses deep concern over the deployment of Russian troops on the territory of Moldova without the consent of Chisinau. The draft resolution was prepared by Moldova in collaboration with Georgia, Canada, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Ukraine and Estonia.
