“Unfortunately, the performance of the team of KVN “Pyatigorsk” in new York June 17 is cancelled. We were unable to petition on the basis of which the artists get a visa at the American Embassy in Moscow… as a result of non-receipt of visa petitions, artists from Pyatigorsk can’t set up an interview at the American Embassy and, accordingly, to fly in the United States,” writes Trachtenberg.
According to him, the reasons for refusal unclear, problems with the organization of a tour in the U.S. in 2013 and 2014.
“This time the authorities demanded one additional confirmation for others, help for help, a piece of paper over a piece of paper, proof for proof. We are prepared, runaway, but again was refused. After that, we immediately convened a new, second package of documents and tried to draw up a second petition, requesting work visas in another category, but again ran into a negative response,” adds the producer, noting that the decision under appeal.
Trachtenberg notes that the current political situation and the strained relations between the US and Russia, reflected not only in the issuance of entry visa in the USA for tourists, but for artists.
