The state Duma has introduced fines for failure to comply with the law on anonymizers

The state Duma on 5 June in the third reading approved a bill that introduces fines for non-anonymizers act, adopted last summer.

Sanctions are introduced for operators of Internet search engines for the links to the websites, access to which is restricted in Russia.

Amendments were adopted to the Code of administrative offences (Cao).

According to the document, the penalty for citizens will make from 3 thousand to 5 thousand rubles for officials — from 30 thousand to 50 thousand rubles for legal entities — from 500 thousand to 700 thousand rubles.

The authors of the initiative made by the deputies of Maxim Kudryavtsev (United Russia), Nikolay Ryzhak (“Fair Russia”) and Alexander Yushchenko (CPRF). Amendments to the administrative code adopted related to the law on anonymizers.

A law banning resources to bypass locks on the Internet in July 2017 was signed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
