Zakharova called Babchenko “a global laughingstock”

“I think he (Babchenko) just doesn’t understand it because of their Outlook. He put an end to all this tremendous work led by the international journalistic community, it is for the protection and the granting of special guarantees”, — said the representative of the foreign Ministry.

According to Zakharova, Babchenko was a victim of the SBU, as the actions of the Ukrainian security services killed his career and made him a laughing stock.

“They killed the journalist Babchenko, a man — the journalist Babchenko — no more. There is a worldwide laughingstock… of the SBU killed Babchenko here in this very sense of the word,” — said the diplomat.

Zakharova also said that staging a murder Babchenko coincided with the meeting of the UN security Council, where were the foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin, what made this situation element of the “propaganda of global significance.”
