The interior Ministry denied media reports about the number of invalid passports
MOSCOW, 1 Jul — RIA Novosti. The Ministry of internal Affairs refutes information in mass media about the fact that 1.5 million passports were declared invalid because of technical errors.
Previously, the newspaper “Kommersant” reported that, according to the service of the interior Ministry, about 1.5 million passports may be declared invalid because of technical errors.
“For eleven years in the service were handling approximately 1.5 million applications. The approval of several media that the meter is posted on the website, shows the number of invalid passports are untrue. The number of passports, which had the status of invalid, significantly less than the stated numbers,” — told RIA Novosti press centre of MIA of Russia.
