Two of the arrested defendants in the so-called “cocaine case” — Vladimir Kalmykov and Istimer Khudzhamov worked with companies from Moscow, one was unemployed, reported “Interfax” on Tuesday informed source.

As it became known yesterday, in December 2017, the Tver court of Moscow arrested Ali Abyanova, Vladimir Kalmykov and Istimara Khudzhamov. In custody they will be kept until at least mid-April.

Another person involved — the alleged organizer of the smuggling of cocaine Andrey Kovalchuk arrested in absentia, according to the FSB, he is hiding in Germany. It was he, according to some media reports, he was the technical employee of Embassy of the Russian Federation in Argentina.

All defendants charged under part 3 of article 30 — part 4 of article 229.1 (attempted smuggling of narcotic drugs) and part 3 of article 30 — paragraph 5 of article 228.1 (attempt of illegal production, sale or shipment of narcotic drugs in especially large size) the criminal code of the Russian Federation.

As reported in TSOs FSB, in December 2017 as the result of an international operation in Moscow red-handed when receiving a consignment of drugs, completely replaced by a dummy, detained three citizens of Russia who are charged with the above offences and elected a measure of restraint detention.

In total from illegal circulation it is withdrawn more than 362 kg of cocaine.

The Russian foreign Ministry confirmed the discovery of a large consignment of cocaine in the Embassy in Buenos Aires, noting that the law enforcement agencies of Russia and Argentina conducted a joint operation to curb the supply chain of large quantities of cocaine.
