The U.S. does not eliminate the impact on the Armed forces of Syria

MOSCOW, 23 Feb — RIA Novosti. Washington does not exclude the use of military force against Syrian government forces. This was stated by U.S. permanent representative to the UN, Nikki Haley, speaking at the Institute of politics at the University of Chicago.

The Ambassador stressed that the US continues to exert pressure on Russia, which, according to Haley, “covers” the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and prevent the delivery of humanitarian aid to East ghouta.

While Haley did not rule out that Washington can strike again at Syria, in April 2017, if confirmed reports of use of chemical weapons. “Missile strikes are not applied just so. You need to understand who will be in the strike area. President (USA Donald trump — ed.) made clear that he will not talk about their plans, but Assad understands that we will act if we see evidence of this (the use of chemical weapons — ed.),” said Haley, noting that the Syrian leader walks “the fine line”.

In late January, the head of the state Department Rex Tillerson has accused the Syrian government of using chemical weapons against civilians in Eastern ghouta. In the us diplomatic service also said that Moscow is doing everything possible to protect the regime of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, who allegedly “continues to use chemical weapons”.

In response, the defense Ministry said that the accusations of US use of chemical weapons by government forces in Syria based solely on rumors, messages from social networks and testimonies of militants. The Russian foreign Ministry, in turn, condemned such statements of Washington, calling them baseless.
