MOSCOW, 18 Jul — RIA Novosti. The transformer fire occurred at the Kursk nuclear power plant on Sunday, it has already been eliminated, the protection was disabled one of the reactors, radiation effects no, said the message of the Ministry of energy.
According to the Ministry, in 06.53 GMT on Kursk NPP effect of protection has disconnected the power unit № 4. The cause was a fire on the transformer for own needs of the plant. NPP has reduced the work capacity of 1 thousand MW.
“Implications for consumers were not. Violations of limits and conditions of safe operation was not, no radiological consequences. The ignition transformer is liquidated, victims are not present”, — is spoken in the message.
At 07.05, as noted by the Ministry of energy, to provide the Unified energy system of Russia (UES) regulatory reserve of capacity for loading is included in the work units at Zainsk SDPP “Tatenergo”, TPP-26 Mosenergo and Huadian-Teninskaya CHP.
