The Sheriff confirmed the death of 17 people in a shooting at an American school
Moscow. 15 Feb. INTERFAX.RU — the Victims of the shooting in an American high school in Parkland, Florida were 17 people, said Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel.
“I have great sorrow report that 17 people died,” he told reporters.
According to Israel, 12 people were killed at the school, two died near the school, one person was killed on the road near the school, two more died in hospital.
The Sheriff also confirmed that the suspect — 19-year-old Nicolas Cruz, “he is in custody”. He noted that Cruz was formerly a student of the school, but was expelled for disciplinary reasons.

Earlier, the TV channel CNN, citing law enforcement officials reported that at least 16 people were killed in the shooting. The County Sherrif’s office Broward reported that 14 were hospitalized.
