The attorney General of new York complained to the plans to sell the company Harvey Weinstein

Promises of potential buyers are completely contrary to the documents that they sent to prosecutors, said Eric Schneiderman.

NEW YORK, February 13. /TASS./ The attorney General of the state of new York Eric Schneiderman spoke out against a number of conditions of the sale of the production company the Weinstein Company, founded accused of harassment Harvey Weinstein. Promises prospective buyers “completely contrary to the documents that they sent [to the Prosecutor],” said Schneiderman at Monday’s press conference, which was broadcast by broadcasting company CNN.

The attorney General primarily against retaining David Glasser at the helm of the leadership of the Weinstein Company after the sale of the company to a group of investors led by Maria Contreras-Sweet. “The company acted as an accomplice to the offences. It knew what was happening and put an end to it, but the veil was going on,” protested Schneiderman.

He recalled that potential buyers said the decision to pay compensation to the victims, to prevent possible violations in the future and to enter into the firm’s management more women. All these provisions are not reflected in the documents that Contreras-Sweet by partners sent a request to the attorney General of new York. Schneiderman made it clear that he is not against the deal per se, but does not accept the above points.
