MOSCOW, February 8. /TASS./ The incident with the shelling of the militia showed that the United States on Syria are not fighting with the “Islamic state” (IG banned in Russia as a terrorist organization), and capture “economic assets” of the country, said Thursday the Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation.
“The incident once again demonstrated that the true purpose of the continuation of the illegal stay of US forces in Syria is no longer a struggle with the international terrorist group ISIL (formerly ISIS – approx. TASS), and to seize and hold under control the economic assets belonging to the Syrian Arab Republic”, – said the Agency.
Uncoordinated actions
The Syrian were the militia in the province of Deir ez-Zor under fire, including helicopters of the coalition headed by the USA, uncoordinated with the Russian military actions. According to the Ministry, February 7, for the destruction of the gang of terrorists shelled the positions of the government troops, “one of the divisions of the national militia of Pro-government forces had conducted reconnaissance and search actions in the direction of a former oil refinery El ISBA (17 km South – East of the village Salhiah)”.
