The FBI has released documents about the investigation into the death of Yassin
Released information on the investigation into the death of former press Minister and Chairman of the Board of the holding “Gazprom-media” Mikhail Lesin. Documents published on the website of the Federal Bureau of investigation (FBI), United States on Saturday, 27 January.
According to them, the death of Yassin was not violent. Cause of death was “blunt head trauma”, which he received in the hotel room in the accident in the background “of strong alcoholic intoxication”. Having examined records from surveillance cameras, investigators concluded that Lesin this moment was one.
“There is no proof of a version, according to which Lesin, died in the assassination or unlawful acts of third parties”, — the document says.
The body of the former officer and the media Manager was discovered on 5 November 2015 in the room of the hotel Dupont in Washington. After his death it was reported that the cause of death was a heart attack. The investigation was closed in October 2016.
In the 2000s, Mikhail Lesin headed the Ministry of press, broadcasting and mass communications. Then for five years was an adviser to the President of Russia. In 2005, on his initiative, created the state TV channel Russia Today (late — RT). In the fall of 2013 until December 2014 Lesin headed “Gazprom-media”.
