Due to the shutdown of the US government closed the statue of Liberty

Due to the suspension of funding the U.S. Federal government was closed for one of the symbols of new York- the statue of Liberty, reports The Washington Post.

The Governor of the state of new York Andrew Cuomo said that he would try as soon as possible to find the means to access the sites. Also temporarily closed some of the many tourist attractions of the United States, including some national parks and museums.

In addition, due to the shutdown of the US Federal government channel Armed Forces Network (AFN), a leading broadcast for American servicemen abroad have temporarily stopped broadcasting, according to a Twitter channel. Broadcast AFN included sports matches, news and entertainment shows.

Yesterday the Federal Department of the USA has temporarily stopped working because Congress failed to agree on the government’s budget. This is the first time since 2013, when the government was forced to cease operations due to disputes between Democrats and Republicans. Then, because of the budget crisis the US government was forced to suspend its activity for 16 days.
