Russian Railways introduced electronic tickets for Pets
MOSCOW, 16 Jan — RIA Novosti. Railways introduced e-tickets in long-distance trains for Pets that you can register on the carrier’s website, the company said on Tuesday.
“In order to improve the quality of service and for the convenience of passengers on the website of JSC “RZD” has the opportunity to issue electronic baggage check for the carriage of small Pets in trains”, — stated in the message.
Also on the website you can prepare the documents for carriage of carry-on baggage: electronic, household video and audio equipment, sports and tourism inventory. Earlier the ticket for transporting animals and hand Luggage could only be opened at the offices of long distance.
Now the passenger can issue electronic baggage receipt at the time of purchase of the electronic ticket, and after purchasing your ticket (electronic or in the ticket office) before the departure.
When issuing an electronic transportation document, the passenger is issued the control coupon with the details of the trip. When boarding, the passenger must provide printed control coupon, added in the Railways.
Passengers of “Sapsan” trains can carry small Pets, birds and dogs (except large breeds) only on specialized areas, but not more than one valid travel ticket, noted in the Railways. The fee for carriage of animals is already included in the ticket price, so issuing additional receipts are not required.
Transportation of guide dogs is free of charge, however they must be muzzled and with a leash, added the company.
