Scientists from the UK have proved that a diet with a high content of dietary fiber can reduce the chances of Contracting colorectal cancer. The experiment was conducted by specialists from the British Institute of Babraham, about it writes “RIA Novosti”.

In the study, doctors found the link between the consumption of dietary fiber and production of short chain fatty acids (SHQ), which reduce the amount of protein HDAC2, the appearance of which is associated with the likelihood of cancer.

This discovery may contribute to the creation of a new drug, say the experts.
