Fire in the Bronx has injured 23 people

In fire fighting was attended by about 200 firefighters.

NEW YORK, January 2. /TASS/. A total of 23 people were injured in a fire that broke out Tuesday morning in one of the houses in the Bronx.

As said on Twitter the fire Department of new York, all the victims, including one firefighter, suffered injuries that do not threaten their lives.

According to news Agency Associated Press, the fire broke out around 05:30 (13:30 GMT) in the furniture store, located on the first floor. In fire fighting was attended by about 200 firefighters.

This is the second major fire for the last week in new York. Last Thursday a fire that erupted in a five-storey residential building in the Bronx, 12 people were killed. The mayor of new York bill de Blasio has called this tragedy the largest number of victims of a fire in the Bronx for the past 25 years. Experts came to the conclusion that the fire broke out due to the fact that left unattended a young child carelessly treated stove.
