The Prosecutor’s office sent to court the case of theft of 85 billion rubles. “Togliattiazot”
The General Prosecutor’s office sent to the Komsomol district court of Tolyatti criminal case about the theft of 85 billion rubles from the company “Togliattiazot”. This was reported in Telegram channel of the office.
As noted in the message, Prosecutor’s office approved the indictment in respect of the managers of the company Vladimir Mahla, his son Sergei and Evgeny Korolev, as well as owners of company Nitrochem Distribution AG Andrew Tsivi and Beata Ruprecht-Wedemeier who are citizens of Switzerland. All of them are accused under part 4 of article 159 of the criminal code (theft by fraud committed by an organized group, in especially large size).
The Prosecutor said that the leaders of “Togliattiazot” from 2008 to 2011 entered into an agreement with Nitrochem Distribution AG for the supply of fertilizers. “To pay the contract partners were not going to them, and they covered the theft of products,” — said the Agency. The entire company was transferred to the 5.5 million tonnes of ammonia and 1.8 million tons of urea were sold. Income from sales in the amount of 85 billion RUB. was rated by members of the organized group. At the moment, all the accused are in the international wanted list.
In March, the newspaper “Kommersant”, citing a source reported that the Interpol General Secretariat has stopped the international search of Tsivi and Ruprecht-Wedemeyer. According to interlocutors of the edition, the decision was made on 3 March. Civi and Ruprecht, Wedemeyer was declared wanted in late 2014, and the Basmanny court of Moscow arrested in absentia of them.
