CEC allowed Putin to begin campaigning
The initiative group for his nomination in the elections was the Central election Commission.
Moscow. 28 Dec. INTERFAX.RU — the Central election Commission of the Russian Federation registered the group of voters formed to support self-candidate Vladimir Putin in the presidential election in 2018, as well as its commissioners.
As the correspondent of “Interfax”, such decision was taken at a meeting of the CEC on Thursday.
In addition, the CEC a separate resolution allowing Putin to open a special election account for formation of election Fund and to begin campaigning.
According to the resolution, which was adopted unanimously by all members of the Commission, the CEC has registered itself and Putin’s initiative group and its authorized representatives to five people. The list includes Oksana Druzhinina, Alexei Ermakov, Sergei Kabyshev, Andrey Tikhomirov and Hope Cacheline. The CEC also registered the authorized representative of Putin on financial issues, it was Natalia Orlova.
