GP Russia demanded from Ukraine to extradite the accused on the case of Paul Klebnikov
MOSCOW, 18 Jul — RIA Novosti. The Prosecutor General’s office demanded from Ukraine to give Magomed of Dukuzov accused of involvement in the murder of the chief editor of the Russian edition of Forbes magazine, Paul Klebnikov, was reported in the press service of the Russian Supervisory authority in response to the request to RIA Novosti.
“In connection with the establishment on the territory of Ukraine of the location of Dukuzov the General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine on may 29 sent a request about his extradition for bringing to criminal responsibility”, — stated in the message of press-service.
According to the Agency, Dukuzov, is accused that on June 25, 2004 in Moscow “as part of the criminal community out of selfish motives and self-employed, with particular cruelty, dangerous way” committed the murder of the former Deputy Prime Minister and head of the office of the head of the Chechen administration James Sergunina, as well as of involvement in the murder of Klebnikov in July 2004.
“According to the information of Interpol of the MIA of Russia, Dukuzov November 17, detained on the territory of the city of Kiev. The General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation confirmed the intention to demand his extradition”, — is spoken in the message of the GP of the Russian Federation.
Chief editor of the Russian edition of Forbes Paul Khlebnikov was shot dead in Moscow on 9 July 2004, the murder became one of the loudest in the newest history of Russia. According to one version of the investigation, the customer of murder could speak Chechen field commander Khozh-Akhmed Nukhayev.
