Trudeau: the progressive agenda will be presented at the G7 summit in Canada in 2018
OTTAWA, December 15. /TASS/. Canada will offer a progressive agenda for the 44th summit of the countries “the seven”, which on 8 and 9 June 2018 will be held in the canadian resort town of Malbaie (Charlevoix, Quebec).
On 14 December, said the canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
“Canada is proud to announce a progressive agenda for the G7 summit in 2018. The topics we chose, during the year, will allow us to focus our discussion on finding real and practical solutions in gender equality, empowerment of women, clean energy and economic growth,” — said in a statement released by the office of the Prime Minister. It notes that Canada and its partners in the “seven” aspire to “leave their children and grandchildren a healthier, more peaceful and safer world”.
From 1 January 2018, Canada will chair the G7. This is the right move from Italy.
Malbaie is a secluded luxury resort complex, located 150 km North-East of Quebec city. The last time Canada hosted the summit of such level in 2010, then-with the participation of Russia in the G8 format. It was held in Huntsville (Ontario).
