The film Andrei Zvyagintsev’s “Dislike” was included in the shortlist for the award “Oscar”
WASHINGTON, 15 Dec — RIA Novosti. The film “Dislike” directed by Andrei Zvyagintsev entered the short-list award “Oscar” in the category “Best foreign language film”, according to a press release from the organizers of the award.
Also the list included the films “Fantastic woman” (directed by Sebastian Lelio, Chile), “On the limit” (Fatih akin, Germany), “body and soul” (Ildiko Enyedi, Hungary), “Foxtrot” (Samuel Maoz, Israel), “Insult” (Ziad Duari, Lebanon), “Felicite” (Alain Gomis, Senegal), “Wound” (John Trengove, South Africa) and “Square” (Ruben Östlund, Sweden).
The shortlist consists of nine paintings, of which will choose five nominees for the award. Presentation of awards will take place on 4 March 2018 (March 5, early in the morning Moscow time).
Earlier, the film was nominated for the award “Golden globe”. The award is traditionally opens the season of film awards in the United States and in many ways outlines the future candidates for the award of the film Academy of the USA “Oscar”.
World premiere of the film “Dislike” was held in the main competition program of the jubilee of the 70-th Cannes international film festival, where the film was awarded the jury Prize.
