Peskov said that Putin’s rivals are still “not ready”
MOSCOW, December 14 — RIA Novosti. In the Kremlin do not see competitors for Vladimir Putin in the upcoming presidential election, although “a lot of good people”, said press Secretary of the head of state, Dmitry Peskov.
“We see a lot of decent people, but we don’t see competitors. Still, from my point of view, it is not yet ripe competitor even close to Putin”, — said Peskov on air of TV channel “Russia 24” on the question of who can compete with Putin in the upcoming elections.
“The fact that Putin is the acting head of state. And in his case, his candidacy is, of course, proceeds according to other laws. Although according to the same laws as everyone else. But the imprint of this current presidency, he obviously is, shall we say, changes the situation”, — said the press Secretary of the Russian leader.
“Such a debate, they are quite meaningless in its essence”, — he added.
