MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. The state Duma before the end of the year ratifies submitted by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin the agreement with Syria about the expansion of the centre of logistics of the Navy of the Russian Federation in the area of the Syrian port of Tartus. It was declared to journalists on Wednesday, the Chairman of the state Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
Putin on Wednesday submitted to the state Duma the agreement with Syria about the expansion of the territory of point of logistics Russian Navy in Tartus for 49 years. Russia may place this database at the same time to 11 warships.
“We will do everything in order to ratify the agreement before the end of 2017”, – said Volodin.
“Our military has protected civilians from the terrorist threat and, after completing a combat mission, returned home. But some of them will continue to serve in locations to support peace in Syria and prevent the emergence of terrorist threats”, – said the speaker of the lower house.
11 December, Putin called for Hamim, where he announced the defeat of the “most militant group of international terrorists” and instructed to begin significant withdrawal of Russian military contingent from the Syrian Arab Republic.
