The CPS checks the shops and manufacturers after reports of a “plastic rice”
The CPS carries out inspections in respect of trade and food production in the evaluation of the accompanying documents, the quality and safety of the product and the information included on the labeling of products due to the fact that social networks and messengers spread the message about rice, allegedly made from plastic which is sold under the guise of ordinary rice in Commerce. About it reported in a press-Department service.
“Managements of Rospotrebnadzora on subjects of the Russian Federation, where there were such reports, conducts Supervisory activities in respect of trade and food production that are referenced in the commercials, on the evaluation of the accompanying documents, the quality and safety of the product and information made marked products”, — said the Agency, noting that “in some regions of the Russian Federation through social networks and messengers spread the message about rice, allegedly made from plastic which is sold under the plain rice in a trading network”.
In Rospotrebnadzore stressed that the Agency “encourages citizens not to trust random sources of information, and in case of doubt about the quality of the food, in particular rice, to address in territorial Administration Rospotrebnadzora on subjects of the Russian Federation for action”.
