In Luxor archaeologists have discovered two tombs of Ancient Egypt
MOSCOW, 9 Dec — RIA Novosti. Archaeologists have discovered two tombs of the era of the XVIII dynasty pharaohs of ancient Egypt West of the Nile in the Luxor area, according to the newspaper “al-Ahram” referring to the Minister of antiquities of Egypt, Khaled al-Anani.
The tombs of about 3.5 thousand years and they belong to the dynasty Thutmosid. Archaeologists have discovered one of the tombs a mummy and a part of the tomb in the form of the God Osiris, on the ceiling was written the name of the Pharaoh Thutmose I. According to the study, it is likely that the mummy of senior officials or influential people.
According to the newspaper, in another tomb was found 100 funerary cones with hieroglyphic writing, a painted wooden funerary masks, clay vessels and a collection of 450 statues.
“This is an important finding, because both contain burial tombs costly collections, and one of them is very remarkable painted statue of a woman in the form of God Osiris” — the newspaper quoted the words of Khaled al-Anani.
The eighteenth dynasty pharaohs of ancient Egypt (1550-1292 about the BC) is considered one of the most famous. Thereto, including, belonged to the famous Tutankhamen, Queen Hatshepsut, a religious reformer Akhenaten.
